Miguel Dembora

Musician & Sonic Architect

Bio: The Harmonic Journey

The Foundation: From Gijón to the Four-Track

Born in 1981 and surviving heart surgery at just one month old, Miguel’s life has always been about resilience and rhythm. The son of a 60s-era keyboardist, his immersion in music was absolute. While he started with the discipline of classical guitar and the fire of hard rock at 14, a «mistake» by his father changed everything: instead of a tube amp, he was gifted a four-track cassette recorder.

That recorder became his laboratory. It was there that the lines between musician and engineer first blurred, setting the stage for a career defined by the marriage of performance and sound.

The Professional Crucible

By 19, Miguel was in the trenches, playing 120 gigs a year with professional orchestras. This high-pressure environment forged a versatile multi-instrumentalist and a sharp sight-reader. But the studio was calling. He moved to Madrid to master the technical side, transitioning from a Conservatory student to a Pro Tools instructor and studio engineer.

The Moog Milestone & International Stage

2004 marked a «full circle» moment for the Dembora legacy. Miguel was selected to perform alongside Bob Moog during his final visit to Spain. Acting as an endorser for the legendary Moogerfooger pedals, they performed at the SONAR Festival and were featured in the Moog documentary—a moment of national recognition that bridged the gap between his father’s analog roots and Miguel’s digital future.

London, Awards, and the Modern Era

In 2009, Miguel moved to London, where his work as a producer earned multiple award nominations. This international exposure led to the evolution of his current mission: Online Mixing and Mastering. Today, Miguel works with artists globally to bring clarity, punch, and—most importantly—emotion to their vision. He is also the author of The Holistic Musician, a guide designed to help artists navigate the same psychological and technical hurdles he has conquered over two decades in the industry.

I am currently available for international performances, online mixing and mastering sessions, and strategic consulting for artists and labels. Whether you need clarity in your mix or a roadmap for your musical career, I’d love to hear about your project.
